Pattern challenge February part 2

In the previous blogpost I already shared the first part of the pattern challenge I hosted with Motiflow! Today it’s March 1st, I have never been so happy that February is finally over haha. I really enjoyed joining the challenge, but at the same time I think it was very hard. Designing a pattern every day in a special theme took me more time than expected. But in the end I’m so happy with everything I’ve made and that I just made it till the end.

Patternchallenge 2021

This challenge motivated me to make different patterns than what I would normally make. In my phone I have a big list of ideas and also my sketchbooks are filled with ideas for patterns, but normally I don’t give myself the time to work them out. I also found out that I really like to make Retro patterns, but more about that in a special blog.

During this challenge I was “forced” to kinda step out of my comfort zone. It gave me the change to create patterns which I have wanted to make for a long time. For example the Puffin, Guinea Fowls, faces and swimming pattern were ideas I wanted to make before, but I never could find the time for it. Now the challenge is done I will completely focus on client work and my webshop again! (:
